West Palm Beach, FL (July 9, 2026) – Effective today, Palm Beach International Airport has officially been renamed President Donald J. Trump International Airport, as required by Chapter 2026-15, Laws of Florida.
While travelers will begin to see updates to signage and branding as the transition progresses, the travel experience itself will remain the same. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) airport code used by airlines and passengers will remain PBI until Aug. 18, 2026, after which it will change to DJT. Until that date, passengers should continue using PBI or searching “West Palm Beach” for all flight bookings, reservations, check-ins and baggage tracking.
Two aviation identifiers used by pilots and air traffic control have changed effective today. The airport's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) locational identifier is now DJT, and its International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) identifier is now KDJT. These codes are used in aviation systems and will appear in official FAA and international publications as they are updated.
The Palm Beach County Department of Airports has coordinated with federal agencies, airlines and airport partners to complete this transition while maintaining normal operations. There is no impact to airport services, flights or the passenger experience.
The name change does not alter ownership, governance, legal status or operational control of the airport. Palm Beach County will continue to oversee all airport policies, finances and strategic decisions.
Updates to airport signage, branding and other materials will take place in phases, beginning with digital platforms and temporary signage while permanent signage is designed and installed. The airport website will continue to be pbia.org during the initial transition. Airport social media channels are also being updated to reflect the new DJT branding. For more information, visit pbia.org.
