SCHEDULED AIRPORT EXERCISE TO TAKE PLACE SEPT. 16
West Palm Beach, FL (Sept. 15, 2026) – President Donald J. Trump International Airport (DJT) will conduct a scheduled exercise on Sept. 16 as part of its FAA Part 139 requirements and ongoing emergency preparedness efforts.
The exercise, which has been planned for more than a year, is conducted every three years to allow airport personnel and emergency responders to practice coordinated responses to potential incidents. Similar exercises have been conducted at DJT in the past.
During the exercise, members of the public may see additional first responders and airport personnel in and around the airfield. The exercise is not open to the public.
“Maintaining our emergency preparedness is an essential part of operating a safe and efficient airport,” said Palm Beach County Department of Airports Director Laura Beebe. “This exercise provides an opportunity for our airport team and emergency responders to practice their roles, strengthen coordination and ensure we are prepared to respond effectively to potential incidents.”
The exercise will not impact normal airport operations. The airport will remain open and operate as normal throughout the exercise.
